IER UK repairs industrial inverters and variable speed drives (VSDs) used to control motor speed and torque across manufacturing, HVAC, pumping and process plant. Faulty inverters are diagnosed down to component level and load-tested before dispatch, restoring the unit to full original specification rather than a temporary fix.
Output stage / power module failure
DC bus capacitor failure
Cooling fan failure and thermal shutdown
Control board and firmware faults
Overcurrent and earth-fault trips
Display and parameter-loss faults

An inverter is an electronic device that converts DC (direct current) into AC (alternating current), and in an industrial VSD that AC output is varied in frequency and voltage to control a motor’s speed and torque on demand. Modern inverters do this using semiconductor switching (IGBTs) controlled by an internal oscillator circuit, constantly monitoring feedback from the motor to regulate power delivery — which is why inverter faults often present as a motor that won’t start, won’t hold speed, or trips out under load.
