IER UK repairs servo drives — also known as servo amplifiers or servo controllers — for CNC machine tools, robotics, conveyor systems, printing presses and packaging lines across the UK. Every drive is diagnosed to component level, repaired using original-specification parts, and load-tested under real operating conditions before it’s returned, so it performs exactly as it did when new.
Power stage / IGBT and transistor failure
DC bus and smoothing capacitor degradation
Encoder feedback and communication faults
Fieldbus / network communication errors
Overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature trips
Display, keypad and control board faults

A servo drive takes a command signal from a controller (a CNC, PLC or robot controller) and converts it into the precise current and voltage needed to drive a servo motor — controlling its position, speed and torque in real time using feedback from the motor’s encoder. Because a servo system relies on that constant feedback loop, a fault in the drive very often shows up as a motion, positioning or following-error fault on the machine, even when the motor and encoder are both healthy.
